Images are simple things that are placed on cars. Over time these badges become symbols of our emotional attachment to the vehicle or brand of car. An old Ford badge, the Chevy Emblem, a pony, a set of circles, these are all images of cars and not just some thing someone stuck on a car. These images are part of the art of the ideas we love and our cars wear them with honor.
I created this image with some fun programs on my cell phone. This is the front badge from my 1986 Mustang. I love how a single image from a car can create feeling and be classified as art in some instances.
ReplyDeleteI love pictures of old cars turned into art. a tail light from a 63 Cadillac is a design of beauty. I believe with all of the plastics on cars today it is getting harder to bring out the cars beauty. no real bumpers, all of the steel is hidden, and chrome has become a thing of the past with cars today. this is why we treasure our past. the craftsmanship is admirable and desired in the cars we drive today. unfortunately, it seems gone.
